This change involved a focused, single-commit update to the system default for useHadoopVectoredIo, allowing the system to leverage vectored IO for improved throughput and reduced latency during file reads. The approach minimized code surface area, simplifying both code review and potential rollback. The work demonstrated proficiency in Java development, file I/O, and performance optimization, with an emphasis on making impactful changes through concise, maintainable code.
