During November 2024, Ahumbe worked on the Katello/katello repository, delivering a repository stream upgrade and cleanup to align with version 6.16. They updated repository configurations to add new Capsule, Maintenance, and Utils streams while removing outdated Client2 repositories for RHEL 7 ELS and other legacy versions. Using JavaScript and full stack development skills, Ahumbe streamlined repository options to ensure systems consistently use the latest supported streams. This work improved deployment reliability and security by reducing configuration drift and simplifying ongoing maintenance. The changes addressed specific issues in the codebase, contributing to a more robust and maintainable infrastructure.
