Developed and delivered a new feature for the Katello/katello repository that enhances the Flatpak remote page by displaying scan progress and last scan details, providing administrators with improved operational visibility. The work involved implementing backend methods in Ruby on Rails to retrieve scan information and integrating these updates into the front end using React and JavaScript. This approach enabled real-time presentation of scan status and historical data, allowing users to monitor scanning processes more effectively. By aligning with business goals, the feature reduced the time required to diagnose scan-related issues and improved the overall user experience for system administrators.
