Worked on the CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA repository to deliver a focused user experience enhancement by introducing an OVERHEATS flag within the gun’s JSON configuration. This feature provides an informational indicator when a weapon overheats from continuous firing, improving player awareness without altering core gameplay mechanics. The implementation emphasized maintainability and future configurability by leveraging JSON for structured data and Markdown for documentation. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as the primary focus was on traceable, future-ready feature flags. The work demonstrated careful configuration management and a methodical approach to extending game features while preserving existing system stability.
