Developed Pressure Stall Information (PSI) Metrics for the Systemmonitor integration in the mib1185/homeassistant-core repository, focusing on enhancing system observability. The work introduced new sensors that track CPU, memory, and I/O pressure, providing both per-interval average and total metrics to support early detection of resource constraints. Implemented in Python, the solution included robust data parsing utilities and updates to sensor state management, leveraging backend development and API integration skills. These enhancements deliver richer telemetry for load management and capacity planning, deepening the monitoring capabilities of the platform and enabling more informed operational decisions without introducing new bugs during the period.
