In July 2025, Alex Jordanow upgraded the build tooling for the gradle/gradle repository by updating the develocity-conventions-plugin from version 0.10.2 to 0.12.1 across multiple settings files. Using Kotlin and Gradle, Alex integrated mavenLocal() into the pluginRepositories section of settings.gradle.kts, enabling access to locally built artifacts and ensuring the latest bug fixes and performance improvements were available for local development. This work streamlined the local setup process and improved consistency between local and CI environments. The project focused on build automation, addressing developer workflow friction and enhancing the reliability of local builds without introducing new bugs.
