In July 2025, Alex Jordanow delivered a targeted build tooling upgrade for the gradle/gradle repository, focusing on improving local development workflows. Alex upgraded the develocity-conventions-plugin from version 0.10.2 to 0.12.1 across multiple settings files, ensuring access to the latest bug fixes and performance enhancements. By integrating mavenLocal() into pluginRepositories within settings.gradle.kts, Alex enabled smoother local builds and improved parity between local and CI environments. This work, implemented using Kotlin and leveraging expertise in build automation and Gradle, addressed friction in local setup and contributed to a more consistent and efficient development experience for the team.
