Worked on the extenda/hiiretail-json-schema-registry repository, delivering two core features focused on schema and security enhancements. Developed default date filtering for the Receipt Journal by introducing a new schema kind and updating schema definitions, which streamlines reporting and reduces manual configuration. Implemented secure in-store session termination by designing a schema update that supports inactivity logout workflows, thereby strengthening in-store security. The work relied on JSON Schema, schema definition, and schema design, with all changes expressed in JSON. Over the course of one month, the contributions addressed reporting accuracy and security needs through targeted schema improvements without introducing bug fixes.
