During February 2026, Akmadugula contributed to the Azure/azure-functions-core-tools repository by delivering a comprehensive dependency upgrade across the CLI and core packages. Using DevOps practices and scripting skills in PowerShell and XML, Akmadugula aligned the toolset with host version 4.1046.100 and updated dependencies to version 4.8.0. This work ensured compatibility with the latest Azure Functions runtime, improved security, and enhanced developer experience. Although no major bugs were addressed, the focus on dependency management and version control resulted in greater project stability. The depth of the upgrade reflects careful coordination with evolving runtime requirements and attention to long-term maintainability.
