Developed and delivered a new POS Staff Session Signal within the Shopify/ui-extensions repository, enabling POS UI extensions to access and subscribe to the currently pinned staff member. This feature improved context-awareness for extension developers, reducing the need for manual session handling and promoting consistency across staff workflows. The implementation leveraged TypeScript for robust API development and incorporated UI/UX design principles to ensure seamless integration with existing front end components. Collaboration was emphasized through AI-assisted co-authorship and clear commit traceability. The work focused on enhancing developer experience and workflow efficiency by providing a reliable mechanism for session state management in POS environments.
