Aki Ishikawa focused on backend development for the wandb/wandb repository, addressing a reliability issue in the LightGBM integration. During this period, Aki identified and resolved a bug where experiment parameters were not being properly logged due to missing propagation of log_params to the wandb_callback. By updating the initialization of the _WandbCallback class, Aki restored full parameter tracking and improved experiment reproducibility. The work required targeted debugging and precise code changes in Python, demonstrating a strong understanding of both backend and full stack development. This contribution closed a functionality gap and enhanced the reliability of experiment logging workflows.
