In June 2025, Akira contributed to the microcai/gentoo-zh repository by developing and packaging the Ori-fcitx5 Theme, which introduced a rounded corner visual style with both light and dark variants for fcitx5 users on Gentoo. Akira utilized Linux system administration and package management skills, working primarily with Shell scripting to ensure the theme was properly installed in the standard fcitx5 themes directory. This work enhanced the visual consistency and theming options available to users, addressing the need for improved aesthetics across different environments. The contribution was focused and well-scoped, delivering a single, user-impacting feature within the month.
