During June 2025, Dawn Xu delivered Redpanda-Cpp 3.3 version support for the microcai/gentoo-zh repository, focusing on build system management and package management using Shell scripting. Dawn updated the build configuration and metadata to align with the new version, removed outdated 2.26 support, and ensured the ebuild naming matched the 3.3 release. By correcting the SRC_URI and Manifest to reference the appropriate tag, Dawn addressed potential source fetch failures and improved build reproducibility. The work demonstrated a methodical approach to overlay maintenance, emphasizing clarity in build system references and contributing to the stability of Gentoo package delivery workflows.
