During May 2025, Akshay Kulkarni focused on enhancing the aidenybai/react-scan extension by delivering a targeted reliability fix for React root detection. Using TypeScript and React, Akshay addressed a longstanding issue where the extension struggled to accurately identify both legacy and container-based React root structures. The solution involved refining detection heuristics within the browser extension, resulting in more consistent and trustworthy scanning results for real-world applications. This work reduced false negatives and manual triage for developers, demonstrating a strong grasp of frontend development, JavaScript, and end-to-end testing. The update improved production stability and streamlined troubleshooting for users of the repository.
