Worked on expanding wireless capabilities in the rdkcentral/rdk-wifi-hal repository by implementing UNI-4 5GHz channel support within the E4 operating class. This addition enabled channels 169, 173, and 177, increasing the available 5GHz spectrum for deployments in the US and Europe without requiring country-code changes. The work focused on enhancing network flexibility and potential performance by leveraging additional channels, aligning with existing E1 and E2 operating class tables. Utilized C programming and embedded systems expertise, with an emphasis on network programming, to deliver traceable, standards-aligned changes that broadened deployment options and improved wireless network capacity for targeted regions.
