In October 2025, Akutango Ulu worked on the open-webui/open-webui repository, focusing on improving the Spanish localization of the user interface. He addressed a translation bug by updating the terminology for "Reasoning Tags" in the es-ES translation.json file, ensuring the phrase "Etiquetas de Razonamiento" was used consistently throughout the UI. This change enhanced clarity for Spanish-speaking users and brought the product in line with established i18n and localization standards. Utilizing front end development skills and working primarily with JSON, Akutango delivered a minimal-risk, single-commit update that was prepared for QA validation and subsequent release to production.
