During December 2024, Alakh worked on the TanStack/router repository, focusing on enhancing server-side robustness by implementing null-safe server function responses. Using TypeScript, JavaScript, and React, Alakh enabled server functions to return null values without causing errors, addressing a key edge case in API reliability. The solution included a dedicated test component to validate both GET and POST request handling, ensuring graceful degradation when null responses occur. Alakh also improved end-to-end testing coverage and updated documentation to reflect these changes. This work contributed to more resilient routing server capabilities and a smoother developer experience, though it was limited in scope.
