Worked on the apache/nifi repository to enhance the stability and reliability of the user interface by addressing issues with bring-to-front layering behavior. Focused on refining the z-index logic so that newly created connections and labels consistently appear above existing elements, ensuring a predictable and intuitive UI experience. Utilized Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS to implement these changes, which also included stabilizing FlowEffects tests to reduce flakiness and improve test reliability. All modifications were closely tied to specific NIFI tickets and commits, supporting traceability and maintainability while contributing to a more robust frontend architecture and improved developer productivity.
