Developed Windows-1251 response decoding support for the projectdiscovery/utils repository, enabling broader compatibility with legacy content sources that use this character encoding. The work focused on extending the existing decoding pipeline to handle Windows-1251-encoded responses, reducing the risk of decoding errors and improving the robustness of backend data ingestion. Leveraging Go for backend development, the implementation integrated seamlessly with the utils framework and laid the foundation for future charset support. This enhancement allows for more reliable data collection and downstream processing by supporting a wider range of content types, ultimately contributing to more resilient and maintainable backend systems.
