Worked on improving the reliability of the iOS cancellation flow in the tauri-apps/plugins-workspace repository, focusing on the barcode-scanner plugin. Addressed a crash that occurred when the cancel() function was invoked by ensuring the cleanup logic was dispatched to the main thread, which allowed for proper resource management and prevented application instability. This solution was implemented using Swift and leveraged expertise in iOS development and plugin architecture. The work resulted in a more stable barcode-scanner experience for users, reducing the risk of crashes during cancellation events and contributing to the overall robustness of the plugin’s iOS integration.
