Worked on enhancing the stability of the googleapis/java-bigtable repository by addressing robustness issues in the CbtTestProxy component. Focused on backend development using Java and gRPC, the work involved improving error handling for StatusRuntimeException and increasing the allowable size for inbound messages and metadata. These changes targeted flaky integration tests and scalability challenges under heavier payloads, resulting in reduced CI flakiness and higher test throughput. The technical approach emphasized test proxy architecture and traceability to business initiatives, ensuring more reliable validation of Bigtable client behavior at scale.
