Worked on stabilizing the wallpaper feature in the basecamp/omarchy repository by addressing issues related to symlink path resolution. Focused on improving reliability, the developer enhanced the shell scripting logic to resolve relative wallpaper paths into absolute paths and implemented checks to ensure the background file exists before creating symlinks. This approach reduced the risk of broken links and runtime errors during wallpaper setup, directly aligning with issue #5612. The work was carried out using bash and shell scripting, emphasizing robust path normalization and pre-link validation to improve the user experience and maintain consistency across the repository’s wallpaper management process.
