Worked on the harness/mcp-server repository to enhance the reliability and data integrity of trigger processing by addressing a critical bug in pipeline trigger identifier extraction and serialization. Applied TypeScript for backend and API development, introducing a centralized normalization helper to handle various trigger body shapes and ensure consistent serialization. Added pre-call validation to enforce required fields, reducing cryptic API errors and preventing misuse. Improved YAML serialization by restructuring trigger objects and removing redundant keys. Developed comprehensive tests covering multiple scenarios, including edge cases and validation paths, which reduced the risk of null errors and strengthened the overall robustness of trigger processing.
