Worked on the infiniflow/ragflow repository to enhance scheduling reliability for global users by implementing timezone-aware scheduling in the Connector Service. Addressed the challenge of date-time drift by introducing a configurable TIMEZONE setting and updating interval calculations to respect user-specified time zones, ensuring scheduled tasks execute at intended times across regions. Applied and validated a critical fix to improve correctness and logging, collaborating with other contributors. Leveraged Python for backend development and database management, focusing on operational predictability and adherence to service-level agreements. The work delivered a robust feature that supports accurate, reliable scheduling for distributed deployments without introducing new bugs.
