Worked on the bazelbuild/rules_android repository to address a critical bug in the Android binary adapter, focusing on build system configuration using Starlark. Delivered a targeted fix for an error message that previously used incorrect string interpolation, which had caused exceptions and unclear diagnostics for users. By correcting the interpolation logic, the update improved error clarity and prevented user-facing crashes, enhancing the stability and maintainability of the build process. Demonstrated skills in debugging, error handling, and Git-based workflows, including clean, reviewable commits. This work reduced support overhead and streamlined failure triage for Android rule users, contributing to more reliable builds.
