During July 2025, Alex Negrin enhanced the NVIDIA/doca-sosreport repository by implementing a configurable output directory for SOS report generation. Using Shell scripting and configuration management skills, Alex introduced an OUTPUT_DIR variable with a default path of /host/tmp, while allowing users to override this setting to specify custom save locations. This update streamlined report storage, reduced manual path adjustments, and improved automation reliability across diverse environments. The work maintained backward compatibility and supported easier integration with CI/CD pipelines. Although the contribution was focused on a single feature, it addressed operational flexibility and demonstrated careful attention to scripting and configuration best practices.
