Worked on the rolldown/rolldown repository to enhance reliability and performance in the chunking pipeline by addressing a bug in the Chunk Optimizer’s circular dependency detection. Applied algorithm optimization and dependency management skills to refine the detection logic, reducing false positives and preserving legitimate chunk merges. Leveraged JavaScript and Rust to implement a two-path breadth-first search algorithm, adapting the approach based on dependency presence. Validated improvements at scale on a large production application, resulting in reduced bundle size and file count. Focused on regression testing and cross-team collaboration, ensuring that integration tests passed and business value was delivered through measurable optimizations.
