Worked on enhancing test reliability and coverage for the RedHatInsights/insights-host-inventory repository, focusing on host query date format handling. Migrated a critical integration test for incorrect date formats from IQE to Python unit tests, which clarified edge-case handling and improved test coverage. Added targeted unit tests for updated_start and updated_end parameters to ensure robust validation of date formats. Removed redundant integration tests to streamline the test suite, reducing duplication and continuous integration runtime. Leveraged skills in API testing, Python, and unit testing to accelerate feedback cycles and simplify maintenance, resulting in a more maintainable and efficient testing process.
