Amit Berman expanded MinimOS ecosystem support in the google/osv.dev repository by developing an updated EcosystemPURL mapping and implementing a new MinimOS PURL converter. Using Python and leveraging package management expertise, Amit ensured that MinimOS package names could be accurately converted to PURLs and that MinimOS PURLs could be reliably parsed. Comprehensive unit tests were added to verify the correctness of these conversions, enhancing the tool’s ability to handle MinimOS packages for vulnerability scanning and dependency mapping. The work focused on extending existing infrastructure rather than bug fixing, demonstrating depth in ecosystem integration and attention to robust, test-driven development practices.
