Amit Ganjiwar enhanced the DuckDuckGo app’s internationalization by introducing new localization tokens focused on privacy, sync, and encrypted storage within the duckduckgo/duckduckgo-locales repository. Working primarily with PO files, Amit applied localization and software development skills to clarify user-facing messaging around privacy features and storage capabilities. This work addressed the need for clearer communication as the app prepares for broader locale expansion, laying a scalable foundation for future localization efforts. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, the depth of the feature work strengthened user trust and aligned with the app’s roadmap for improved privacy disclosures and feature explainers.
