Worked on the AliceO2Group/AliceO2 repository to extend and realign the Cave detector barrel and RB24 geometry, directly supporting FOCAL integration and downstream detector readiness. Used C++ and detector simulation techniques to construct new geometry components, including shCaveTR3, and integrated them into the existing system. Addressed extrusion issues by expanding the barrel volume and refactored beampipes to resolve overlaps and gaps, ensuring accurate geometric representation. Realigned RB24 components along the Z-axis to match updated cave structures, improving overall system reliability. Demonstrated skills in geometry construction, CAD/data integration, and version control, contributing to higher fidelity and reduced future integration rework.
