Contributed to the mvl-boston/opendbc repository by adding a new firmware fingerprint for the 2022 Hyundai Tucson forward-facing camera ECU, enhancing the system’s ability to accurately identify and process data from this specific vehicle model. Leveraged expertise in embedded systems and firmware analysis to update fingerprints.py using Python, ensuring seamless integration with the existing codebase. This work expanded vehicle compatibility within the OpenDBC pipeline, improved the reliability of ECU detection, and reduced triage time for new firmware variants. Maintained clear documentation in commit messages, demonstrating attention to contribution hygiene and supporting ongoing maintainability for future development and analytics workflows.
