Worked on improving deployment reliability and portability across the yeatmanlab/roar-dashboard and yeatmanlab/roar-firekit repositories. Addressed build consistency by relocating the env-configs submodule URL in .gitmodules to a relative path, ensuring portable builds across different environments. Enhanced release governance by updating the publish workflow in roar-firekit to validate that release tags originate from the main branch, reducing the risk of incorrect releases. Utilized Bash, YAML, and Git to implement these changes, focusing on CI/CD best practices and submodule management. The work enabled smoother cross-environment deployments and streamlined onboarding by reducing deployment risk and improving build reliability.
