Worked on the prefix-dev/pixi repository to enhance developer experience by introducing a more flexible integration between Pixi environments and PyCharm. Developed a feature that allows PyCharm to recognize Pixi environments directly through an environments.txt file and Conda’s environment list, eliminating the need for the pixi-pycharm shim. Focused on improving onboarding and runtime flexibility, the work included comprehensive documentation written in Markdown to guide users through the new setup process. Leveraged skills in documentation and IDE integration to reduce setup friction, expand environment management options, and lay the foundation for broader support of IDE workflows within the Pixi ecosystem.
