Worked on enhancing data processing error handling in the Azure-Samples/explore-iot-operations repository by introducing explicit Result-based return types in Rust for data transformation and filtering functions. This approach improved type-safe error handling and enabled earlier detection of faults within IoT data pipelines, reducing the risk of downstream outages. The work included refactoring existing code, updating tests, and revising documentation to align with the new contract, thereby improving maintainability and diagnosability. Focused on backend development and robust error handling, the changes facilitated more reliable data processing and streamlined incident resolution without addressing major bug fixes during the reported period.
