During June 2025, contributed to the apache/camel repository by implementing payload support for Whatsapp Interactive Messages within the Camel Whatsapp component. This work involved extending the Parameter model to include a payload attribute, enabling the use of interactive message templates with button-driven payloads in alignment with Facebook Cloud API requirements. The approach focused on API integration and backend development using Java, ensuring compatibility with evolving messaging standards. All changes were managed with disciplined version control and traceable commits, resulting in a feature that enhances developer productivity and supports richer messaging flows without introducing new bugs during the development period.
