Andrea Biasi updated Italian translations for the Mattermost Desktop application, focusing on enhancing localization coverage within the mattermost/desktop repository. Using Weblate as the primary localization tool, Andrea translated 283 out of 309 strings, reaching 91.5% completion and improving usability for Italian-speaking users. The work involved managing JSON language files and integrating translation updates through a streamlined contributor workflow. Although the project scope was limited to a single feature over one month, Andrea’s efforts strengthened the application’s localization readiness for future releases. The contribution demonstrated proficiency in localization processes and tooling, with a clear focus on user experience and translation accuracy.
