During July 2025, Yizhou Zhou enhanced the conduitio-labs/conduit-connector-dynamodb repository by implementing secure cross-account AWS access for DynamoDB connectors. Leveraging Go and the AWS SDK, Yizhou introduced IAM Role AssumeRole support using IRSA on EKS, integrating STS-based credential flows to enable robust cross-account deployments. The work included refactoring credential handling to use built-in WithAssumeRoleCredentialOptions, improving reliability and compatibility across environments. Yizhou also updated configuration paths and strengthened documentation and tests, reducing operational risk and supporting maintainability. This focused engineering effort addressed the complexities of multi-account cloud environments, delivering a deeper, more secure integration for AWS credential management.
