Developed and delivered a user-facing Course Data Availability Banner for the ScottyLabs/cmucourses repository, addressing the need for transparent communication about course data updates. The feature was implemented in the application header using React and Next.js, with styling handled via CSS. The banner informs users when course data may be temporarily unavailable due to external data source updates and provides a direct link to the Schedule of Classes for further information. Iterative improvements included refining the banner’s wording for clarity and specifying that Spring 2026 instructor and room details are affected, thereby reducing user confusion and supporting reliable data communication.
