In December 2025, Andrei Perepelitsa developed and released a new Homebrew formula for the Neo4j Model Context Protocol server, focusing on enabling AI tool integration within the chenrui333/homebrew-core repository. Leveraging Go and Ruby, Andrei applied skills in package management, software development, and testing to deliver version 1.1.0 of the formula. This work introduced packaging improvements and established a workflow for integrating AI tooling, expanding automation capabilities for downstream users. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, the feature laid a technical foundation for future enhancements, demonstrating a methodical approach to extending Homebrew’s support for AI-driven development tools.
