During May 2025, Jesus Aquije contributed to the awslabs/landing-zone-accelerator-on-aws repository by implementing support for the new MX Central-1 AWS region. He updated the region enumeration and configuration logic, enabling the accelerator to provision and manage resources in this additional region. Working primarily with TypeScript, Jesus applied his expertise in AWS, backend development, and cloud infrastructure to ensure seamless integration with existing deployment workflows. The work addressed the need for expanded regional coverage, allowing organizations to leverage the accelerator in MX Central-1. The contribution was focused and technically sound, reflecting a targeted enhancement rather than broad architectural changes or bug fixes.
