In May 2025, Aquiles Jesus contributed to the awslabs/landing-zone-accelerator-on-aws repository by implementing support for the new MX Central-1 AWS region. He updated the region enumeration and configuration logic within the TypeScript backend, enabling the accelerator to provision and manage resources in this additional region. His work focused on extending the cloud infrastructure capabilities of the project, ensuring seamless integration with AWS services and maintaining consistency across supported regions. Utilizing his skills in AWS and backend development, Aquiles delivered a targeted feature that expanded the accelerator’s regional coverage, addressing evolving business needs without introducing bugs or regressions during the process.
