During December 2024, Brian Stucke modularized configuration management for the awslabs/landing-zone-accelerator-on-aws repository by externalizing the healthcare sample configuration into a dedicated repository. This approach reduced coupling between the main codebase and configuration files, improving maintainability and deployment reliability while enabling cross-repository reuse. Brian updated the main repository’s README, ensuring clear documentation of the new configuration location, and removed all healthcare-related configuration files and images from the core repository. The work leveraged AWS, DevOps practices, and configuration management using markdown and yaml, reflecting a focused engineering effort to streamline configuration workflows and support scalable, maintainable infrastructure.
