Worked on the aws-samples/aurora-dsql-samples repository to migrate a recipe-sharing application's backend database from SQLite to Amazon Aurora DSQL, unifying local development and production environments. This migration leveraged Go for backend development and utilized AWS-managed database services to establish dev–prod parity, reducing maintenance overhead and eliminating environment drift. The approach enabled scalable, production-grade workloads by removing reliance on SQLite and standardizing database infrastructure. Through API development and backend engineering, the work improved reliability and streamlined onboarding for production deployments, setting a clear pattern for future AWS sample projects to adopt managed, scalable database solutions using Go and AWS technologies.
