During April 2025, contributed to the pocket-id/pocket-id repository by developing a targeted user experience security enhancement focused on onboarding. Built a new onboarding path for Passkeys, introducing an 'Add Passkey' button within the account settings page for users lacking a passkey. This feature, implemented using JavaScript and Svelte, appears as a warning alert and initiates the createPasskey flow to guide users through secure account setup. The approach emphasized frontend and UI development, aiming to reduce friction while encouraging stronger authentication. This work established a foundation for broader Passkey adoption and improved the security posture for the application's user base.
