Developed and delivered the Knative Scale-to-Zero feature for the mcpgateway component in the IBM/mcp-context-forge repository, focusing on cloud native development and Kubernetes orchestration. This work enabled automatic scaling of mcpgateway pods down to zero when idle, optimizing resource utilization and reducing operational costs. The implementation involved updating YAML-based Knative configuration files and enhancing deployment documentation to clearly outline the new scaling workflows and expected behaviors. By concentrating on scalable infrastructure changes and thorough documentation, the project improved deployment reliability and maintainability, addressing cluster efficiency without introducing critical bugs or regressions during the release period.
