Worked on stabilizing the shell process lifecycle within the YaLTeR/niri repository by addressing an edge-case in session management. Focused on shell scripting using Bash, the contribution ensured that shell processes spawned by niri-session were properly terminated, preventing orphaned processes and reducing resource leaks. This targeted bug fix improved the reliability of automated workflows and multi-user sessions by minimizing system clutter and operational overhead. The approach involved careful process management and lifecycle handling, enhancing the maintainability of the codebase. The work demonstrated attention to detail in system resource control and contributed to a more robust session environment for end users.
