Worked on the forcedotcom/source-deploy-retrieve repository to deliver LightningTypeBundle metadata support for Salesforce CLI, enabling developers to deploy and retrieve this new metadata type through automated workflows. The implementation involved updating the metadata registry and refining file path generation logic to recognize and process LightningTypeBundle, thereby aligning CLI capabilities with evolving Salesforce metadata standards. Using TypeScript and leveraging the Metadata API, the changes reduced manual configuration steps and improved the reliability of deployment and retrieval pipelines. This work enhanced the developer experience by streamlining build processes and ensuring that new metadata types are seamlessly integrated into CLI operations.
