During February 2025, contributed to backend enhancements across folio-org/mod-source-record-manager and folio-org/data-import-processing-core by expanding MARC authority field mappings and updating related documentation. Focused on improving data ingestion fidelity and mapping accuracy, new mapping rules for fields 147, 447, and 547 were implemented using Java and JSON, ensuring correct processing of namedEvent data. Documentation in Markdown was aligned with these schema changes, supporting easier onboarding and future maintenance. The work emphasized cross-repository consistency, with explicit commit messages and NEWS updates, and leveraged skills in API development, data mapping, and unit testing to deliver maintainable, well-documented backend improvements.
