Developed conditional permissions support for RBAC within the backstage/community-plugins repository, enabling more granular, condition-based access control for backend systems. The work involved designing and implementing a diff-based synchronization algorithm to efficiently manage conditional permissions, ensuring reliable updates across remote providers. Addressed reliability by fixing event ID emission issues and refining the diff logic to respect permission conditions. Expanded test coverage and introduced source validation to handle invalid sources, improving overall quality and robustness. Updated provider documentation and examples to reflect the new workflows, supporting administrators in adopting these enhancements. Utilized TypeScript and backend development skills throughout the project.
