Worked on the edx/configuration repository to enhance security by addressing the AWS credential lifecycle. Focused on reverting the AWS assume-role session duration from four hours back to one hour, this change aligned deployment workflows with organizational security baselines and reduced risk from long-lived temporary credentials. The solution involved targeted scripting using Shell and AWS CLI, ensuring minimal disruption to existing processes while restoring least-privilege access controls. All changes were documented with clear commit messages to support future audits and maintain traceability. This work demonstrated a methodical approach to change management, emphasizing stability, security best practices, and robust version control workflows.
