Worked on enhancing the German localization of the KiCad/kicad-source-mirror repository, focusing on internationalization and translation quality over a two-month period. Leveraged C++ and PO file formats to deliver near-complete German translation coverage, integrating updates through the Weblate platform. The approach emphasized process improvements, including traceable commit messages and end-to-end workflow integration, which reduced localization risk and improved the user experience for German-speaking users. No critical bugs were addressed during this time, as the primary objective was to refine and expand localization features, ensuring consistency and readiness for upcoming releases while strengthening the overall internationalization pipeline.
